Steve Townes is Named Chairman of ACL Airshop

ACL Airshop, a worldwide leader in air cargo products and support services has named Steve Townes as Chairman. Tony Morgan, President and CEO of ACL Airshop, said “Having exceptional leaders like this on our team is further strengthening our strategy for global expansion.”
Townes is the CEO of
Ranger Airshop Holdings, Inc., which is the parent company of ACL Airshop. He is also
CEO & Founder of Ranger Aerospace, a private equity consolidator that specializes in aerospace services companies, with a strong track record of growth, quality, and profits since Townes started the enterprise in 1997. Townes, an engineering graduate of West Point and former Army Ranger, began his distinguished and long civilian aviation career in 1980 at LTV Aerospace & Defense Corp, following his military service years. In previous successful Ranger Aerospace ventures, he was CEO of
Keystone Helicopter,
Aircraft Service International Group (“ASIG”), and
Ranger International Services Group, Inc. He has also served as
Chairman of “SC Aerospace,” a statewide public/private partnership involving multiple government agencies, educational institutions, and numerous aerospace companies large and small.
This executive appointment was enacted by the ACL Airshop LLC Board of Managers, and affirmed by the Board of Directors of Ranger Airshop Holdings, Inc.
